IES is exhibiting at SETAC Europe 32nd Annual Meeting on 15th-19th May, an event in Copenhagen for environmental toxicology and chemistry professionals to get together and discuss the best ways to evaluate the impact of chemicals in the environment.

SETAC is the perfect opportunity to introduce our Cawood Research sector. IES was recently acquired by Cawood and is joined in Cawood Research by CROs i2L Research and Mambo-Tox. We will be exhibiting all together to demonstrate our scientific expertise in environmental services.

i2L Research broadens our capabilities with its specialist efficacy studies on agrochemicals and household pesticides. Mambo-Tox, another CRO specialising in terrestrial ecotoxicological studies for evaluating the effects of pesticides, gives us greater capacity for our existing services. Together, our integrated network of experts and specialist studies result in broader innovative services and swifter timelines for even greater customer service.

All our experts will be available at stands 13 and 14. Register for your ticket to SETAC today:

We are looking forward to seeing you.

Cawood acquires IES Ltd
Cawood acquires IES Ltd 1024 695 Admin

We are delighted to announce that IES Ltd was acquired by Cawood Scientific on the 17th September 2021. We join the research business unit, increasing the group’s capabilities and capacity for safety testing. This move will also expand upon our capacities and the range of services we are able to offer our clients in future.

‘This acquisition is another important step towards our vision of becoming the global partner of choice for value-added analytical testing, monitoring, research and insight,’ said Simon Parrington, Group Chief Executive Officer of Cawood. ‘With the recent addition of i2L Research and now IES Ltd alongside our existing Mambo-Tox business, our Research business unit is able to meet a wider proportion of our customers’ needs for regulatory studies and contract research.’

The addition of IES Ltd triples the size of Cawood’s Research business unit. The additional capabilities and capacity for safety testing complement the unit’s existing efficacy and safety testing services. The group’s expansion into six countries opens up larger European, Asian, and American markets. Customers worldwide will now be able to source the vast majority of their contract research requirements from Cawood.

‘Our business has expanded quickly in recent years, and we are excited to be joining the Cawood group for its support and backing as we continue to grow,’ said Dr Stefan Höger, Chief Executive Officer of IES Ltd. ‘Our aim is to provide premium contract research on time, tailored to our customers’ needs and with exceptional operational excellence. I am confident that our aligned culture, values and vision for the future, as well as our complementary services, makes this an ideal and prosperous partnership.’

‘Our ongoing expansion by partnering with companies like IES Ltd with an excellent international reputation, premium service offering, and wider market reach is fantastic,’ continued Simon. ‘In line with customer requirements, part of our strategy for 2021 is to continue expanding our research capacity. As our third acquisition of the year, IES Ltd has enabled us to do just that.’

Cawood is the UK’s leading independent scientific group, recognised for its technical capability and value-added service to customers in land-based industries. They provide independent laboratory analysis for the agriculture, food, infrastructure and environmental sectors, as well as contract research to GLP standards to support the development of agrochemicals, biocides and other chemicals.
