We are delighted to announce that IES Ltd was acquired by Cawood Scientific on the 17^th September 2021. We join the research business unit, increasing the group’s capabilities and capacity for safety testing. This move will also expand upon our capacities and the range of services we are able to offer our clients in future.

‘This acquisition is another important step towards our vision of becoming the global partner of choice for value-added analytical testing, monitoring, research and insight,’ said Simon Parrington, Group Chief Executive Officer of Cawood. ‘With the recent addition of i2L Research and now IES Ltd alongside our existing Mambo-Tox business, our Research business unit is able to meet a wider proportion of our customers’ needs for regulatory studies and contract research.’

The addition of IES Ltd triples the size of Cawood’s Research business unit. The additional capabilities and capacity for safety testing complement the unit’s existing efficacy and safety testing services. The group’s expansion into six countries opens up larger European, Asian, and American markets. Customers worldwide will now be able to source the vast majority of their contract research requirements from Cawood.

Pesticide mixtures: Effects of combined application on the degradation of pesticides in soil (OECD 307) and aquatic sediment (OECD 308) test systems

The topic focuses on the investigation of the environmental impact of tank mixtures applied to soil and aquatic sediment systems. The effects of broad spectrum fungicidal treatment of respective environmental compartments on the route and rate of degradation of a sulfonylurea herbicide have been studied under controlled conditions, and are discussed in this presentation.
